Mechanical Testing, Inc. (MTI) is an independent AABC and NEBB certified Test and Balance (TAB) contractor. Mechanical Testing brings over four decades of TAB knowledge and expertise to each project, large or small. Our main goal is to provide our clients with reliable and repeatable Testing and Balancing services for the Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Industry.

Established in 1967, Mechanical Testing, Inc. has proven over the years to be a test and balance firm with a high level of integrity, industry knowledge, quality control and excellent customer service.

Mechanical Testing and it's officer's are currently members in good standing with; Eastern Contractor's Association (ECA), Northeastern Subcontractors Association (NESCA), National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, Air Conditioning Engineers(ASHRAE), Associated Air Balance Council (AABC), National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB), United States Green Building Council (USGBC).

We personally understand the demands of the Construction Industry. We ensure TAB reports are prepared quickly for submission and reviewed by the Engineer of Record. This will help close the project out for final payment distribution as well as Certificate of Occupancy demands.

Industry Independence

Mechanical Testing, Inc. is completely independent from any design and/or installation contractor. This allows us to bring an unbiased view to every project, ensuring that the Building Owner truly gets the efficiency out of the HVAC system they are entitled too.

AABC and NEBB Certified

Our TAB Team brings experience backed by certifications and quality control. MTI has both Technicians and Test and Balance Engineers certified by the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) and the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB). This training allows our technicians to challenge the HVAC systems and run the equipment at the highest possible efficiency to achieve the design team's intent. All our final reports are reviewed and certified by a Test and Balance Engineer in direct supervision of the technicians in the field collecting the data.
